We had a very busy , but wonderful Christmas. We had Christmas Eve service at church and had dinner and opened gifts. Mom and Dad didn’t come up this year, so it was a small gathering this year with only us and Hubby’s dad. We got the girls a cell phone and a Wii with lots of games. I got hubby Guitar Hero for the Wii. They were so excited about it they had to get some play time in before bed time. In the morning the girls had fun calling everyone on their new phone.

Christmas day we went to hubby’s sisters house. We didn’t get dinner done till late, and only had time for a short gift exchange game before heading back home. We changed and headed down to Mom and Dad’s. We didn’t get in till after 1 in the morning, so we all slept in late the next morning.

Friday morning we did the gift exchange with Mom and Dad. Mom and Dad Gave Bubba a small loom. It is smaller than Bitty’s, bit still big enough to do a lot of stuff on. She got some yarn out and started weaving on it right away.

Grandma and Grandpa came over and we gave them their gifts, then Cookie and her daughter Bindi came over and we gave them their gifts. We had a late lunch and sat around talking till Grandma and Grandpa left. The girls of course set up the Wii and played off and on all afternoon. Cookie and Bindi stayed over and Hubby, Cookie and I stayed up too late playing guitar hero. Saturday we had a late breakfast again. The girls played Wii for a bit after breakfast, then Cookie and Bindi packed up and headed home in the early afternoon. My Uncle and Aunt came over just after they left, we gave them their present and the girls, hubby and Uncle played cribbage until they left.

We got Dad and Mom playing on the Wii. They did some bowling , some tennis and some guitar hero. They had a lot of fun playing with the girls. The girls had fun helping Dad do chores and helping Mom in the kitchen. We stayed until Sunday late afternoon after the Vikings football game.

The tooth fairy rides again. The tooth fairy has been busy here. Bubba lost a tooth last week while still in Miami and lost another one yesterday. Bitty has one loose also that looks like it will come out today or tomorrow. I thought they were a bit old for the tooth fairy, but she has found them no matter where we travel to. I hope she can make it out to the farm house in the middle of nowhere if needed.

Saturday

In the morning after fighting with the dish system, We went to the YMCA with hubby’s dad and worked out, walked on the track and played in the pool and hot tub. We picked up puppy food and then stopped for lunch at T.B. It was snowing all day, we got nearly 5 inches more. The girls and hubby played outside sliding , digging tunnels and putting up some lights. I stayed inside and wrapped presents. After the girls came in I put them to work wrapping presents. They love helping.

When hubby came in they started the great cooking baking extravaganza. They got one batch made before dinner. We watched Myth Busters after dinner, We really miss having the good channels in Florida.

We are at our home in Minnesota for the next two weeks for Christmas vacation. We got in late last night. The flight was fine a little bumpy on the landing due to some fog. The little princesses got bumped up to first class for the flight. They had a great time. The stewardess came back before we took off and said they had two open seats in first class and asked if it was ok if they went up there. Of course they said yes. They got juice, cookies and snacks. Tasha was very good in her carrier during the flight. She Is happy to be running around in the snow again.

We are spending the day cleaning up and then will go shopping and wrap gifts. This weekend is cookie weekend, hubby and the girls will probably spend all day doing cookies and candies.

Merry Christmas 2008

This year has been busy with moving again. We started the year back in Minnesota after being in Port St. Lucie, Fl., for three years.

In March, a construction consulting company based in Miami hired Hubby. They sent him to Los Alamos, NM to work at one of the construction jobs at the Lab for about six months. In April the girls and I joined him. We took Hubby's dad with us for the drive down and stayed with us for a couple weeks. Mom and Dad came down in May and spent Mother's Day with us. We spent our time there exploring the area, and hiking. We love the area and made some great friends. We really hated to leave.

In August we packed everything and drove back to Minnesota for the month. Hubby flew down to Miami to work and to find a condo close to the office for us. I flew down for a long weekend in the beginning of September while the girls stayed with Mom and Dad. We then packed again and drove down to Miami. We are now living in a downtown condo on the bay with a beautiful view of the ocean and port of Miami. The girls and I have been enjoying the warm weather, spending lots of time in the pool and going to the beach.

Hubby's dad came down and joined us for Thanksgiving this year. Mom and Dad will be coming down this winter after the Holidays to spend some time in the sunny, warm weather. We will be spending Christmas at our house in Minnesota with the family again this year.

The girls are growing up fast. Bitty is 12 and in 7th grade. Bubba is 10 and in 4th grade. I am still homeschooling, which makes it easier when we move, not having to change schools at each move.

Hope everyone has a wonderful year.

Saturday we took the smashed car up to PSL for storage, we will decide what to do with it later. We stopped at Sonny’s bbq for lunch. We went car shopping in the afternoon; we looked at a lot of cars and found 4 we really like. One is a Sebring convertible, an Intrepid, a Nissan Altima and a Jaguar.
In the evening we went to the candy cane parade in Hollywood. It was lots of fun, the girls had a blast. There were lots of floats and some had snow or bubbles. We got home really late and after getting the girls to bed I did some more car searching online.
Sunday after church we stopped at a car lot and test drove the Jaguar. It is very nice.
We had lunch and watched the Vikings game at the sports bar (Vikings won).
We stopped at best buy on the way home and did some more research on gaming systems. We had a light dinner and watched “Night at the Museum”
